County Guard Dogs UK already have a number of clients which have taken the opportunity of using our specialist detection dogs. This has proven to be very effective in deterring the use of drugs and drug related incidents i.e.: violence, absenteeism and insurance claims. It has also aided public houses and nightclubs to retain their entertainment license.

Insurance premiums can be increased dramatically should accidents occur on your premises. By using drug detection dogs and advertising a drug free zone it could keep your premiums at a reasonable level. It would also inform workers and potential customers that you operate an anti-drug policy.   

Unlike other firms offering this service we do not guarantee 100% success. If the amount is large enough and it has been present on the person concerned above a certain amount of time the dogs should be able to indicate to its handler.

However, if at the last minute the substance is transferred to another person the dog may fail to indicate on the new carrier. The original holder of the drug may still be identified by the dog.

Passive search dogs are used to screen people: - entering their work place, night clubs, places of education, airports, docks etc.

Both Passive and Pro-active drug detection dogs are able to detect Heroin, Cocaine, Cannabis and Amphetamines.

If a tablet has been taken prior to the persons entry, the dog will not be able to detect it.

pro-active detection dogs

Pro-active dogs are for searching: 

a)     factories, places of learning, nightclubs etc.

b)     vehicles, transport depots, container depots etc,

It is recommended that all these buildings are vacated before the dog is used. This method is used by our clients to find any drugs that may have been stored on the premises for use at a later date.

Depending upon which substance and the amount that has been hidden the dog may still be able to indicate on any residue once the drugs have been removed.

We also use this type of dog when searching vehicles departing and entering transport depots. This enables hauliers to know that they are doing their utmost to combat an increasing problem and to create a drug free zone. Successful clients are issued with an inspection certificate stating that their premises/vehicles have been checked and found to be clear on that date.

Pro-active drug dogs will search for substances that have been hidden in areas intended to be drug free environments, including night clubs, places of education, transport yards, work place etc.

Dogs used are non-aggressive Labradors and Spaniels.
